IN THE GROOVE
Children enjoy a more meaningful experience with increased purpose, motivation, confidence, courage and vitality. Motor skills, active listening, attention, coordination, balance, spatial awareness, memory and physical endurance strengthens using more percussion instruments, creative movement, exciting props with familiar and different songs, creative activities, crossing the midline and comic timing! 😉 Singing together supports self awareness and self confidence, voice skills, moods, shared emotions, language and self expression. Musical aesthetics, soundscapes, familiar and different rhythms and melodies ignites imagination, musical sensitivity, capability, spontaneity, thinking and feeling in multiple ways and shared enthusiasm! Lots of creative activities and energetic movement – We jump, skip, hop, twirl, bend, twist, spin, sway, glide, catch, throw, balance, crawl, kick, leap, stomp, run on the spot or tiptoe! Confidence, coordination, cooperation and capability increases. Musical sensitivity, beat and rhythm are refined using percussion instruments, props, creativity with characters, body percussion activities and shared singing. Active- musical-story-telling inherently stimulates imagination and creativity drawing on lyrics, melody, rhythm, shared emotions and ideas. Improvisation, cooperative role play, feelings, voice, tension, focus and self expression is joyfully explored. Spontaneity, poise, artistic expression, intuition, courage and creation motivates abstract thinking, along with relationships and emotions in themselves and each other.
